82nd Airborne Division Chorus wins over judges, lands spot in 'AGT' finale: 'America needs you'

82nd Airborne Division Chorus captured a hero's victory on "America’s Got Talent."
The military-based acapella group, which won over the judges with its lively rendition of Pink's "I Am Here," earned a spot in the Season 18 finale Wednesday night.
Judge Howie Mandel, who gave the vocal ensemble a shoutout for its military service Tuesday, wasn't surprised by the group's win. "They're heroic anyhow, and then you have this talent," Mandel said. "America loves you. America needs you."
82nd Airborne wasn't the only act who struck a chord with viewers. Balancing act duo Ramadhani Brothers was also voted through to the next round of the competition after its nail-biting performance.
"In the history of '(America's) Got Talent,' you two are really one of the best acts we have ever witnessed," judge Heidi Klum said.
"Congratulations, and good luck to you next week."
Who went home on 'AGT'?
The road to "AGT" victory hit a dead end for some unlucky acts.
The contestants heading home after Wednesday's elimination include aerial hula hooper Grace Good, magician Sangsoon Kim, country music duo Trailer Flowers, magician Mandy Muden, child dancer Eseniia Mikheeva and singers Lachuné and Eduardo Antonio Treviño.
Which 'AGT' contestant won the Wildcard Instant Save?
America's job wasn't finished after this week's top 2 was declared.
Judges Mandel, Klum, Simon Cowell and Sofía Vergara each nominated a previously eliminated contestant for the Wildcard Instant Save vote, which gives viewers the opportunity to bring back one of the selected acts for the finale.
Drumming troupe Chioma & The Atlanta Drum Academy was nominated by Cowell, Golden Buzzer singer Gabriel Henrique by Vergara, sword-swallowing aerialist Herwan Legaillard by Klum and dance group Avantgardey by Mandel.
In the end, Avantgardey shimmied its way to redemption when host Terry Crews revealed the group had won the instant save.
"I love that you are going to be part of the finals," Mandel said. "You are exciting. You are fresh. You are exactly what 'AGT' is all about."
